A little "You and Your Heart"
Who doesn't love a little Jack Johnson? I was really excited to hear that he had a new album out: To The Sea. Hope you enjoyed his vid., "You and Your Heart".
What is even cooler about Johnson and his tour (which I devastatingly missed when he came through Toronto) is that they've taken on all sorts of actions to reduce the environmental impacts of his shows. You won't find bottled water while listening to Johnson. Instead, they encourage people to bring their reusable bottles to fill up on site with tap water filtered by Brita. They use biodiesel to fuel their tour trucks and encourage concert goers to carpool and take mass transit. From offering local produce and food to carbon offsetting remaining carbon emissions, I think people can feel pretty darn good about taking in a Jack Johnson concert.
Another cool fact: To The Sea was recorded at Johnson’s two solar-powered studios: The Mango Tree in Hawaii and the Solar Powered Plastic Plant in Los Angeles.
