I have been on the hunt for a unique watch and purse for the past year and finally found some time to search around the city for options that would suit my style and my pocket book. Knowing that new watches and bags would likely use new leather and other materials that might not jive with my ethical pursuits and would certainly blow my budget, I started to think about going the vintage route.

This vintage shopping trip was rather short as I found both items at an Ossington Ave. shop called I Miss You (63 Ossington Ave.). Shoes, bags, belts and colour-coded racks of some fancy and some retro frocks fill this space with very affordable pieces to still reasonable high-end fashion brands that make for super great finds.

What I like most about vintage clothing and accessories is that you can give these items a second life and manage to look good doing it. Watch for more vintage posts to come.

Love those clothes!

Searching for new styles for spring but don't want the clothes on your back to leave a not-so-good looking footprint on the planet? For this reason, I'm happy to have encountered a Queen West shop called Preloved.  This amazing line of clothing takes vintage shirts, pants, etc., and refashions these fabrics into totally cool new pieces. I am happily replacing an item or two with Preloved designs and am excited to see what new accessories, home collection and new clothing lines this company will come up with next.

Here are some of my favourite frocks from Preloved's current clothing line:

Fefe dress
$220.00

Olive tee
$129.00

I stopped by the Toronto store last week, as I confess I regularly do, to browse and take pics of the indoor space. I am now the proud owner of a white and light blue Olive tee. I really do dig their stuff.

Check out Preloved for yourself by stopping by 881 Queen Street West location in Toronto or go online: preloved.ca.
