Buy Greewash-free Cleaning Products

A fair while ago, I had a great chance to take part in a public service announcement with the Toronto-based social enterprise Me to We. The company I work for (TerraChoice) was contacted to share our knowledge of greenwashing and how consumers can find greener cleaning products among those that might not be as "green" as they seem.

I explained to the host, youth leader and Free The Children co-founder Craig Kielburger, how you look proof that a product is as "green" as they are claiming to be. One of the easier ways to tell is to look for eco-labels - third-party certifications are probably one of the easiest ways to identify a product's "green" cred.  EcoLogo, Green Seal, USDA Organic and EcoCert or some legit eco-labels you will find on greener cleaning products.
